In looking back at the Gabfire forum, I had the same problem when I upgraded to WordPress 3.7. The issue was fixed when you released 3.7.1. Is it possible that whatever was fixed then was broken in 4.4?

I deactivated the plugins, but there was no difference.
I can’t change themes because this is a site with paid ads, and I can’t risk screwing anything up there.
