I added the following to /plugins/advanced-access-manager/view/css/wpaccess_style.css :/* to be removed when Access Manager is updated */

I have been looking all over for a suitable plugin, but I simply cannot find one. And yet this type of usage is frequently available on web sites (eg eBay etc)
Any suggestions of where to look?

I am not using WPMU – just single site, so there is no “super admin”. Nor can I find a capability “AAM Manage”.
There must be a little more to this problem

Exactly the same problem. I have de-activated all other plugins, but the pop-out menu does not appear.
However, if you DELETE the plugin and re-install, the sub-menus are available.
The direct URL is xxx.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp_access.
Hope this work-around helps, but there does seem to be a problem!

Exactly the same has happened on another site that I run on Genesis, with a different child theme.
Oh well, I have gone back to 1.7.1 which works well. Thanks anyway.

My index.php is clean. Nonetheless I re-installed the file as you suggest, but no change unfortunately. The site works, but there is no detail in the Simple Hooks settings screen.
Is there anywhere else I should look?
