Hmm, I didn’t think to try using the default theme to test this issue. But if this glitch re-occurs, I’ll do just that and post a note here. 🙂

In reply to: Adding comments creates duplicate postsResolution: The post that was presenting the problem was the first one. (I deleted the automatic “Hello world” post from my WordPress installation; this was the first one after that.) The post duplication didn’t happen with any other posting; we tested by trying comments on other posts to be sure. They worked fine.
I did do an upgrade of WordPress before this posting was even written, so maybe some glitch arose from that. Or maybe it was a transient error of some kind.
It’s fixed for now, though. The current cure was pretty simple:
– Delete the original post of Dec. 6, 2006
– Edit the timestamp on the duplicate post so that it now has the original post’s date, and save; this moves it down to the original post’s place
– So far, the blog is now working fine; go figure.FYI!
