Thanks for replying. I’m looking forward to that update.
I may not need an “immediate workaround”, but could you be a bit more specific about your timeframe regarding “an upcoming release”?
Thanks for replying, and for supplying links. However, that doesn’t really answer my question.
This was their response:
“On checking again, you cannot remove the “nextcellent-gallery-nextgen-legacy [not installed]” comment, as this is an output from the WPO’s built-in table/plugin identifier.
The identifier does not rely on having a plugin installed before it can determine which plugin(s) make use of a particular table.
In your case, both the NextGEN and nextcellent gallery plugins are known users of the *_ngg_* tables, hence the comments.”
So, I rest my case. Seems I will have to live with it.
Thank you. That explains it.
Of course. Each time I open the table view.
I made use of an old and offline installation so there was never any real danger. I tried a couple of times more and finally succeeded. The plugin is now up and running. Yes, I know that everything gets deleted so this was kind of a last resort.
However, the reason I did this was that I’m getting these lines up when I look into the table view of the WP-Optimize plugin:
“Known plugins that use this table name:
nextgen-gallery
nextcellent-gallery-nextgen-legacy [not installed]”It occurs on all three NGG tables.
I wanted to get rid of the annoying “nextcellent” bit, and have been for several years. I installed it many years ago, for some reason, and then deleted it. It resides somewhere in the database. So I went the hard way and tried to completely delete everything about NGG Gallery.
Now your plugin is back and working, but that “nextcellent” has also returned. Would you happen to know where it is, and how I can get rid of it?
I notice that after installation this plugin doesn’t create the three usual database tables. ngg_album, ngg_gallery or ngg_pictures. Does that give you a clue?
I have now tried to delete and reinstall the plugin several times. Same response: Unable to import images or create galleries.

In reply to: [Easy Table of Contents] Padding under the tableGreat! Thank you very much. This seems to be right.

In reply to: [Easy Table of Contents] Padding under the tableFor instance this URL.
I’m using the Divi theme.

In reply to: [Easy Table of Contents] Padding under the tableI would like to see some space between the table and the first heading below it. Kind of like the space/margin/padding between the first paragraph and the table.

In reply to: [Easy Table of Contents] Padding under the tableThank you. However, that setting enables padding within the table, between the lines. I’m interested in setting a padding (margin) outside the table, more specifically with some air below the table, before the first heading.
I found the culprit. NextGEN Gallery conflicts with a (recently installed) plugin called Easy Table of Contents. When I disable the automatic creation of a table of contents in a post which has a NextGen code (at least the code for the “Basic Extended Album”) it will work just fine. This is not a huge problem on my site(s). However, I would sincerely like an explanation and a fix.
It’s just that it crashes with the latest WP version and/or PHP 8.2 and I had to disable it. Too bad really, as I like what this plugin does a lot better than the native NGG way of inserting images.
The debut log shows a lot of warnings like this:
PHP Deprecated: Creation of dynamic property NggicbAdminPanel::$options is deprecated in /home/xyz/zyx/wp-content/plugins/ngg-image-chooser-block/admin/admin.php on line 17
So, I hope you find time soon ….

In reply to: [NextGEN Gallery Image Chooser] Problems with recent PHP and NGG versionsInteresting. However, there is the “new” version of this plugin using the Gutenburg block features. https://de.ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/ngg-image-chooser-block/
Even that version seems to be abandoned by the author, re my question in the support tab there. I have always liked this plugin, however it does not work anymore given the latest changes in PHP and possibly NextGen Gallery.
- There is no item called Yoast SEO > Search Appearence. There are inside the Posts and Pages settings in the Content Types tab. The Save Changes button is not visible on neither unless I disable “Show posts in search results”.
- There is no Yoast SEO > Search Appearance > Taxonomies >
- I installed the Helper plugin and clicked the Reset Notifications button. It removes the notification alright. However, as soon as I enter WP Dashboard > Appearance > Themes this notifications reappears instantly.
So, what is this? In addition I get confused because there are two choices for categories, two for tags and two for types in the Categories & tags menu.
