In reply to: RSS FEED BROKEN – PLS HELPHow many times do I have to repeat this … Feedburner is out of business. If people would bother going to their feedburner member page they would see that, and how to handle the situation of switching their feeds over to either google – who bought out feedburner – or another service.

In reply to: How to prevent hotlinking without destroying my website? My pleasure – I’ve posted that link in many questions before. As usual – people who don’t immediately need info on .htaccess don’t read and bookmark it:) It IS very helpful in many ways.

In reply to: The Theme is NotWhere did you get the theme from? Any theme approved by WP has to have both of those files to be workable. Link to theme download?

In reply to: Changing Blog Link NameSo it’s RUDE (ridiculously overused word these days)to ask if someone actually did some research on their own – using guides in the WP Codex available to all – before asking someone else (a VOLUNTEER) to do the work for him? moshu gives excellent help to people who at least try to help themselves first and has for some time.
@judeevoa: Youare WHO to tell anyone what to do or not do here? This is not a forum for “newbies” or “beginners” to come and ask questions they can answer themselves with only a modicum or work. Users are expected to know at least something of basic html, css, or php before trying to setup a site using WP. The logical first step is to read the Codex page FIRST. If basic code is beyond your means to study up on, by all means go to wordpress.com, where coding isn’t an issue.
If you consider being told to do that “rude” … tough. Deal with it.
Is your browser set to display flash files? Make sure your flash player (Adobe or Macromedia) is set to operate in your browser of choice and not just on your home system.

In reply to: I need help validatingWhat you think may be the problem is insufficient. Install the Web Developer and Firebug add-ons for Firefox and it will tell you exactly what needs correcting. The W3C Validators should also give the lines that need fixing.

In reply to: inserting photos via URL problem – only link, no photo showingFWIW, Webshots has a reputation as being incredibly unreliable as far as linkage goes. I would suggest an alternative storage site – or just store them at your domain, which makes more sense anyway.
In your dashboard, under options, misc … “store uploads in, folder” set to default, wp-content/uploads. UNcheck next option “organize uploads into month, year based folders”, and save update.
From then on all uploads should go to the wp-content/uploads folder minus the month and year sub-folders. As mrmist says – if the folder does not currently exist (it really should), your ftp program should let you create it. You should also be able to relocate items in month and year folders into the main /uploads folder. Just adjust your links to point there.

In reply to: How can I Change the Layout of my Home Page?If you have and can’t find anything, you are not really searching. There are literally thousands of CSS help sites and forums on the web for everyone from beginners to guru types. One of the best is Sitepoint. Another is Alist. Yet another is Paul O’Briens site. I have approximately 200 sites alone in my bookmarks – so to say you’ve looked and can’t find help is ludicrous.
As for the template … there is a CONTACT link there. USE it.
