A few things I’ve discovered:
1. Once switched over to v3.1 I forgot to create a new set of credentials on Amazon (ideally switching API versions should be invalidating the API health check)
2. Although my Auto Update was on, it was showing as off in the debug screen, which I wasn’t paying too much attention to. So I went ahead and flipped on/of while saving and now it shows every 2 minutes.
One thing I don’t understand is how the scheduler meant to work. Let’s say I’ve set to auto update every 2 mins and I have 500 products that need updates. Would the auto feature send batches of ASINs to be updated every 2 mins, and make sure all 500 eventually get updated i.e. find the next stale batch and continue cycling 1-500 infinitely? Will keep observing. (btw individual updates work just fine, the green circular arrow)

Got it. So I’m pretty sure my CRON issues had started a while ago, likely prior to the switch to the new API. I recall noticing “N number of scheduled events are overdue” all the time inside my Updraft backup plugin at some point. On the API version, just checked and I was on the (old) 2.1, so will try switching to the latest then. I did try to run the mass update initially but I think it updated some small number and then stopped (screenshot reflects the result).
@pizza2mozzarella one other thing I’ve noticed today is that I see a red banner indicating I am 80% done with the setup and that I need to complete it. My setup is all green, keys, tests, all green checks – so not sure what else is remaining.

Just noticed you’ve mentioned the setup page. So I do see a token (green checks next to all APIs including Creators) and I did get a search item response via both APIs. So looks like its working? 🙂
Sure. I’ve tried configuring the new Creators API in AA. My understanding is that I had to create a connector (application) from within my Tools -> CreatorsAPI (https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/creatorsapi for the NA at least). I’ve assumed that Access Key == Credential Id and Secret Key == Secret from the credentials created within the app. Could you confirm btw?
Then clicked Force an Update Cycle and I think the initial summary hasn’t changed:
“Products RecapA total of 481 products have been added in your database.
0 of them have been updated in the last 24 hours.
The others 481 have stale price and stock data info.Automatic Updates Recap
The auto update CRON event is set to run every 1 hour
Last update cycle was January 29, 2026 at 5:59 am where 0 products were selected to be updated.
In the last automatic update cycle there were no issues. All the selected products have been updated.”
Couldn’t conclude what has happened but will check closer tomorrow.
Sounds good. If you’re looking to kick up some direct traffic, or just get real-world feedback on the API, one option could be sharing what you’re building in the right subreddits. It really depends on the type of content or solution you’re putting out (whatever content holds your AA links), but when it genuinely helps solve a problem people there actually have, traction usually comes pretty naturally. The key is keeping it helpful and relevant rather than promotional.
Oh…. That sounds pretty aggressive and, really, ten transactions isn’t going to be easy for many starters. Time for you to drop off some affiliate links on reddit 😉 Thank you for the efforts and support btw, this plugin is a gem, looking forward to continue using it, hopefully, as I am writing some automation software for AAM and plan to be referring to this plugin in one of the flows.
Right on!
