 * Thanks for the reply, unfortunately Pro is not an option as my blog is just a
   hobby project.
 * I did try the demo from the link you gave and it switches between desktop and
   mobile without a problem, with firefox and chrome. Seems the problem must be 
   specifically with my blog, which is running the latest versions of wordpress 
   and plugins.

 * I am using Relevanssi, which I seem to remember reading that it isn’t compatible
   with WPtouch. That was the reason I wanted to be able to switch my mobile to 
   the desktop version.
 * Scrolling to the bottom of the home page, there is the option for Mobile or Desktop,
   but selecting Desktop just refreshes the screen as the Mobile version.
 * Using another mobile it works as expected, but using an Acer 11″ tablet it just
   shows the desktop version, with no Mobile or Desktop option showing.
 * Is it a problem with the Huawei P8 lite causing it not to work?
