    Hello!

Thank you for using the service and I’m sorry to see you are having problems.

I just checked your test URL against all of our endpoints and cannot reproduce that error.

If the error is still happening , please confirm and also if you could confirm the country you are in when trying to access that url, that would be helpful as well.

    Thank you!

    Hello!

I’m sorry to hear you are having this trouble. I have resolved the situation for you. The site was added back in October 2019 by you when we had the legacy dashboard implemented.

Since then things have been upgraded and you should be able to try adding the site again.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

We should be able to help you out! Please send an email to [email protected] with the existing username , making sure the email is coming from the registered email, as well as the new email you want to use and we can help you out.

In the future we will implement a profile section of the dashboard that will allow people to do this on their own.

    Thank you!

Can you give me a url where the images are failing , along with a few direct links of the failing images?

If you dont want to paste here, you can email [email protected]

    Hello,

    Thanks for coming back! πŸ™‚

It’s only a few images here and there, but can’t have any images not showing. Any ideas what is going on?

Ah. Let me look into webp specifically. I’ll have to run some tests on my side and see what may be happening.

I’ll keep this request open in the meantime and should be able to get back to you quickly.

    Thanks!

    Hello!

The CDN is indeed working on your site! I can see it in the network tab when I browse your website. All static elements and media are being offloaded to the CDN.

Looks like you did everything correctly. My only comment about your server not saying that a CDN is activated is most 3rd party services that perform audits and scans on websites to determine things like page speed score and SEO audits and whatnot may not detect our CDN.

This doesn’t really mean anything other than it will impact the score of whatever audit or scan you are doing. This is mainly because our CDN is still new and not large enough in terms of awareness to be added to CDN lists where they officially recognize our CDN service. There’s not much I can do with this , but again this really doesn’t impact you at all. The speed the CDN will offer your site still happens regardless!

Thanks for using the service πŸ™‚

    I’m sorry to hear that!

I can see that the test URL is indeed working for your site : https://rlpqw1envsos.wpcdn.shift8cdn.com/wp-content/plugins/shift8-cdn/test/test.png

The most recent plugin update simply added a button to submit cache purges. What exactly is the 404 error or how are you seeing it exactly?

Lastly, can you go to the “support” tab of the plugin settings and click the button to copy all the debug information and paste here in this thread? This will help me understand your environment.

    Thank you!

    Hello!

I’m sorry you are having problems! I’d be more than happy to look into this for you.

First of all , some speed measuring services like gtmetrix.com dont necessarily recognize our CDN urls as an official CDN yet. This could be because we are still relatively small in comparison with some of the other big CDN services.

This doesnt mean anything other than you dont get those extra “points” that speed measuring services give you when grading your site. Google doesnt care because they just want the site to load fast period, which the CDN is supposed to do!

There is a big “switch” in the settings to turn the CDN on and off. You can try turning that off first of all because then it will stop rewriting all assets to the CDN url like in your screenshot.

Is there any other information you can provide? Perhaps share your site URL and I can test it myself to see if I can see any problems.

    Thanks!

I tried this plugin out and I don’t think it works at all for a http site. Maybe it only works for https ssl?

    Hello!

The CDN should work with a regular http (non SSL) site as an origin URL. When creating the site please make sure to enter the URL exactly how it appears in your address bar (i.e. http://www.yoursite.com).

The CDN urls that rewrite static assets are indeed HTTPS but this shouldn’t be affecting anything. I cant comment further without getting additional information about your site. Can you provide the URL? If you dont want to share here, feel free to email [email protected] directly.

    Thanks!
