    Hi Michael,

I’m not sure if we’re talking past each other. In any case, I found out that my wish can be fulfilled if I install the “Permalink Manager Lite” plugin and set the URL of the first post of this custom post type to “/”. This works perfectly. Basically, it would be nice if it worked without an additional plugin, but whenever I manually set the slug to “/” (without “Permalink Manager Lite”), it jumps back to the actual WordPress slug when saving.

I think another possibility could be to set the posttype basis to “/” and structure the whole thing hierarchically. The first page should then be “test” and the other pages hierarchically below “test”, so their slugs are …/test/page1 etc. But it’s too complicated for my purpose and that’s why I haven’t tested it.

If you have any idea, how ich can resolve my problem without “Permalink Manager Lite”, your help is welcome!

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hi Michael,

I’m sorry to be not clear in my question:

Custom Post Type UI with base: test (So it will be: Create a new Test.. etc)
The first page (test) is now: https://domain.com/test/page1/
    BUT:
The first page should be: https://domain.com/test/ (that is my question!)
Other pages from this custom post type should be “normal”: https://domain.com/test/page234

It should be not a multi-site.

    Thanks,
    Thomas
