We also ran into this issue and had to disable the plugin. It looks like they released a new version 2.3.6. I will test it out after hours.
I am having the same issue in WordPress 3.9.1 The Visual editor strips out any <p> tag that does not have a class assigned to it.
<p> is removed, but <p class=”class-name-here”> is not.
