So after randomly clicking on a number of settings, apparently what helped with the wordpress feed was selecting “Check for duplicate posts by GUID only” instead of “GUID and title”. I have no idea why, but there it is, if anyone else is having this problem.

Could you post your working settings for the feeds, so I could troubleshoot using those?
