    So what do I see? 4 Files on my wp-content: wpTimeMaschine-content-files.zip, qpTimeMaschine-data-files.sql, wpTimeMaschine-Instructions.txt and the wpTimeMaschine_log.txt as show above.

    Should this be 2 files only?

    No upload to the dropbox. — again.

    BTW: I just installed an update for my DokumentsToGo iPhone-App. A issus for that app was a problem with none US or UK Dropbox-Accounts. I have an account registered from germany. But it runs under dropbox.com and is totaly in englisch.

    Tested wp-time-maschine 1.8.4 with 4 times unlink to //unlink.
    But not change to my last post.

    Hi Paul.

    I did this. There were 3 times unlink and I put an // before each.

    Then I started the backup and look at the server (wp-contant), wp (wp-time-maschine 1.8.3) and the dropbox. Here is what happened:

    1. Backup started.
    2. 5 files were generated at the server
    3. no zip or tar was generated
    4. wp said “
    * Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; de; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3
    * PHP: version 5.2.11
    * cURL: version 7.19.6
    * system() command: yes
    * wp-content writable: yes
    Your archives have been completed
    They should now be available via your offsite provider:
    Dropbox

    5. Dropbox: NO!
    6. Files are on the server.

    Does this help?

    Just saw a new 1.8.4 version. I will test this in a few minutes.

    Hi,

    the GUI ist getting much better with every update. I found a little bug. If you open the plugin setting, change something (e.g. zip to tar) and close the setting, the Generate WP Backup button does not work until you open the plugin website next.

    But now to our main problem dropbox.

    Just tested 1.8.2 with
    * PHP: version 5.2.11
    * cURL: version 7.19.6
    * wp-content writable: yes

    with zip AND tar-files but NO it does not work.

    Sorry!

    Just tested 1.8.0.
    Sorry – no change.

    Grrrr!
    Can I do something else?

    Hi,
    I have loaded 1.7.9 and made a test.
    I again double checked the dropbox id and password.
    I start the backup process.
    Time machine creates 3 or 4 files at wp-content. Then I combine them to one file. Then a nearly as long time as the building of the files needed nothing happens. Then time machine said: Complied.
    The wpTimeMachine-archive.tar.gz file is at wp-content. And my dropbox is emty.

    I have made a test with an other dropbox-account: same problem.

    I also have made a test with an ftp-account: that works fine.

    But ftp is not the perfect solution for me. I can do anything, to encircle the problem. You also send me an email. spl [at] archimag [dot] de

    a big sorry from my place. No 1.7.8 made no change. One file is created, but there is no upload to dropbox. The file is not deleted. In principle, as before.
