I’ve just released v1.1.8, which addresses some of the issues you reported:
- TTF files should no longer be detected as images.
- Context Extraction: I’ve added a new setting, “Enable Context Extraction,” that lets you capture the surrounding context for images. This feature is now available in the Alt Text Manager. (Previously, context extraction only worked in Gutenberg blocks and was limited to one extraction per image.)
- Elementor compatibility: It appears there may be a capabilities conflict between the plugin and Elementor. I need to investigate this further to identify the root cause.

Funny you mention the global language option, I was actually working on that feature when you wrote. It is now live in version 1.1.6.

I have released version 1.1.4 which I hope includes fixes that should resolve this issue. Could you please update the plugin and try again?
If the problem persists after updating, are you able to disable Immunify360 and test? Security plugins can sometimes interfere with REST API requests.

The error suggests the request is being sent as GET instead of POST, which could be caused by a caching issue.
Could you try a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows / Cmd+Shift+R on Mac), clear your cache, and try again?
If you have a caching plugin active (like WP Rocket or W3 Total Cache), it would also help to clear that cache specifically.
If the issue persists, it would help to know:
- Which browser you are using
- Whether you have any browser extensions active (ad blockers, privacy tools, etc.)
- Whether you have a security plugin like Wordfence installed
