Good news: I disabled all the plugins and tested which one caused the issue. (I should have known to do that straight away!) The errant code was “Vafpress Post Formats UI” which is an extension that came with the Sculpture Qode theme that I use. Now gone permanently and all is OK.
Thanks for your help and apologies for contacting you when I should have known the process from past issues.It seems that much of the New Post page is frozen: none of the expand/contract arrows on the right side function, neither do the four tabs underneath Add a New Post.
I’ll contact WP support to see if they have any ideas.
Thanks!I just reinstalled WP 5.5 in case a recent Shopping Cart plugin that I recently added was causing the problem. All Cart plugins have been removed and the problem is still there.
I’m using the Classic editor.

In reply to: Editor 5 nightmareBut you didn’t test the situation I have: a cell without data that is to the left of the end column – i.e. data in the right column but not in the preceding cell. As I said, I can forward a multi-column html file that gave me this problem, but I’ll need an address.
And yes, the situation has returned to normal with installing the Classic Editor, which thankfully I learned about on this forum. Obviously, I have a very real concern that the Gutenberg editor be fixed, including the narrow editing window format, before support is discontinued for Classic.

In reply to: Editor 5 nightmareSorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, but importing an html table by copying and pasting, which works just fine with the old editor, DOES move things between columns. I can send you one of my files for you to try!
Ah, the penny has dropped! I’ve now entered the Apple Podcast Subscription URL in each of the podcast Destinations tabs. And all is well… many thanks for your help, Shawn!
I’m using Custom Podcast Channels.
Thanks, Shawn, but I only see one Destinations tab for all the feeds in the PowerPress settings. And I see nowhere to add those links for each show… what am I missing here?
