Thanks tnightingale. I have a similar problem with the metadesc() API change unrelated to WPBDP, so I was curious how I should read out the metadata now.
For now, I’ll downgrade and keep an eye open to see what changes soon.

thank you very much. I had pagespeed optimization enabled on the server side, which also minifies the .js files (and appends some text to the files).
When I turn it off your plugin works like a charm!
