I saw a reply/response on another thread. WordPress has the ability to push through security updates if they deem them to be of high enough priority/importance. Makes sense. I will consider this issue resolved.

The same thing happened to me. First time as well. I hope this gets addressed soon! This is not a good thing for woocommerce! Very disappointed in them at the moment, to say the least!
