Problem is http:// only works with web severs, the internal documents are stored on file servers using network shares.
I am able to copy the documents across to the WordPress server and then link to them using http:// links no problem. But the issue I have is amendments, every time a document is changed it would mean copying it across every time.
Our current intranet is developed using basic HTML and works fine with “file://” links.
In order to do this you need to create file:// link to the network share required however the built in menu system doesn’t allow links starting like this. I too would like to know this…..
