Could you check your dev server has any other javascript error? This plugin would stop when other plugins made a javascript error. Placeholder means my js code is not executed.

To be honest, I’ve never seen your comment here, but 1a and 1b are working for the new version 5.0.0. 😀 I think 2 and 3 are quite good and I will consider for the next version.
Lock feature is for preventing actions for the plugin.
