i just changed the content width to 1200 and fixed the problem. I think you should change the default to 1200

I just tried a larger image but nothing changes. I have jetpack but I am not sure what you mean about image optimisation.

When I include the featured image at the top of the post this is the correct size but when I insert an image it always scale to the size shown in screen shot even if it is fewer pixels in width than 1200.

Should I change it to 1200?

I am currently using images that are 1200px wide, but it’s still not working. Is there anything else it could be?
