In reply to: [Astra] Column blocks do not use entire screen width on mobileDear Herman,
Thank you so much for responding. Unfortunately, the two snippets did not make a difference. I tried one by one, cleared the cache etc.
Please, stay on this topic. Any other thing I can do?
Thanks much.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Astra] Column blocks do not use entire screen width on mobileI have created a simpler version of my inquiry. Apologies for the earlier one. It is rather confusing…
Gutenberg column blocks display differently on mobile devices on two websites of different ages. Both websites have updated versions of WordPress and the Astra Theme.
I have created the same block in the two websites. Please see the problem:
Older Website, wrong display: Content does not use the screen’s width on mobile

Newer Website: Correct view on mobile

In reply to: [Advanced Comment Form] Mobile view is smaller than screenGutenberg column blocks displaying differently on mobile devices on two different websites.
These two websites are of different ages. The newer website correctly displays column block content on mobile using the screen’s width. The older website displays the content of columns with additional side margins, shrinking the content to the middle rather than using the screen’s width. Both websites have an updated version of WordPress and Astra Theme.
I have tried “everything for on and off for months” to correct the display on mobile on the old website to no avail.

In reply to: [MesoColumn] Recent Posts as Homepage Featured CategoryThanks for responding Richie,
The only solution I found was to create a Category named “Recent Posts” and have it as one of my two Featured Categories. I can then deactivate my Recent Post Widget on the right column.
Thanks,

In reply to: [MesoColumn] Recent Posts as Homepage Featured CategoryRichie?
Or someone who has resolved this?
Figuring this out is all I need.
There has to be a way to do this, since most blogs naturally want to show the most recent post on the front page.
@christine and @3bdelra.. Creating a Category named “Recent Posts” would do the trick, but you would have to assign every post to the “Recent Posts” Category and the other categories the post naturally belongs to. At the same time you have a “Recent Posts” widget.

Would you point me to what other users have done with this plugin?
