Thanks, that solved my problem. The highlighting is now the only very ‘bleak’ color here, but I can live wit that.

I have the same problem. It started occurring about 2-3 weeks ago. I have had both W3 Total Cache and Wordfence installed a lot longer than that, and this was previously not a problem.
