Please do not mark this thread as being resolved, as it is not. I did delete the blog page, recreate a new blog page, and make a new menu, as you suggested. I deleted the “Home” page from my menu navigation, since I saw that I can click on the logo to go to the home page. My blog page only shows ONE blog post, not all the posts.
Is it even possible with this new version of the theme to have a blog page separate from the home page? Very frustrating.
Please advise me on what do do next. Thanks!
Do you mean for me to go to ‘Pages,’ create a new page called “Blog” that has the blog template, and use that in the new menu, along with the “Home” page (instead of the custom link?
Do I have to delete the current blog page first?
Thanks for your help.
I think I have fixed the problem. I noticed that the URL for my “Home” button on my front page was actually http://cakethyme.com/test. So I went into the Appearance->Menus area and removed my Home button. I replaced it with a custom link to http://cakethyme.com which I labeled “Home.” This seems to have fixed my problem.
Please let me know if these settings are OK or if they will cause any future issues. Thanks!
Thank you for the help. I did what you instructed and there is some improvement, but still an issue.
Now when you type in my site’s URL, it displays the page on my menu called “Blog.” However, the main features are now there.
When I click on my site’s “Home” button, however, I still get a blank template page. And when I click on my “Blog” navigation menu button, it goes to just showing the blog WITHOUT showing the main homepage features. ??
Any suggestions on how to fix this menu issue? Thank you!
