First of all, it’s not a bug. If you want to create a recurring event you need to add the event start date and end date.
Maybe we are having a misunderstanding about how to add the event start and end date.

On Eventin plugin we have not found any issue like that. We are using the WordPress default mailer which depends on the server’s SMTP configuration.
Can you please check your SMTP configuration. Hosting provider can help you about this.

To make everything clear about the issue we have to break the
the question is in two parts.1. Gutenberg Editor support for the Event edit page.
(When you are adding/editing the event, instead of using the old WYSIWYG/default editor you will have the Gutenberg editor. )
– This feature will be released soon.2. Gutenberg Block for various design elements. (Event List, Speaker List, etc) https://prnt.sc/lTfFhvzQFzsN
(When you are designing a page with Gutenberg editor, you can see the above-mentioned blocks to use ad design elements just like any other Gutenberg block.)
– These blocks are already released and you can use them on your site.I hope everything is clear now.

Thank you for reaching us. Yes you can scan QR code from Phone or Papers at entry of an event. QR code scanning will be worked from any QR scanning supported device . It’s not required specific app to use the feature.

@tamara93 can you please flash the Permalinks.
Whenever a new Custom Post is added through a plugin or code; usually WordPress permalinks needs to be flushed.
Step 1: In the WordPress admin area, go to “Settings > Permalinks”
Step 2: Click “Save Changes”
Step 3: Permalinks and rewrite rules are flushed.And I think the issue is not directly to Eventin plugin related. If not work you can ask to Theme Author.
