@chriscct7 I have a question about the same subject. Before the 6.0 update, there was an option to stop the plugin from automatically placing the tracking code. I used Cookie Notice to place it, after the notice was accepted.
Now, however, it is automatically placed and visitors are tracked regardless of if they accepted the notice or not. How can I stop the automatic placement of the tracking code from within the plugin? I can’t find the option.
Thank you in advance!

In reply to: [Poseidon] Change color of search buttonUPDATE: It seems there was some hiccup, as the color has changed…
The problem is solved 🙂
Solved that last problem as well 🙂 Now it says the right names. Thank you!
It works. When hovering over the icon it does say SOCIALICON instead of the social media, but it works for now. I’ll be awaiting the the update that fixes it! 🙂
I only placed those round icons in the sidebar. I have not used any other features of the plugin. What feature in the plugin could cause this? Then I can maybe look for it in the settings.
I have no caching plugins installed. When I deactivate the plugin, the trackers disappear immediatly. When the plugin is activated the tracker re-appear again. This also happens when I don’t use the widget in the sidebar.
About server-side caching I’m not sure… not that I know of.
This is my website url: https://pvdagroenlinks.com/.
Thank you for your quick reply!
The trackers appear as soon as I activate the plugin. Even when I’m not using the icons on my website. For Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube I only use the “Visit us” functionality and nothing else. Which means: 4 icons in the sidebar and when clicked on it opens our social media pages.
However, it still activates those trackers. So the first option does not seem to work for me, or do I need to do something else?

In reply to: Deleting trackersYou’re a life saver! It turns out the following plugins were responsible:
– Custom Contact Forms
– Easy Twitter Feed Widget
– Social Media and Share IconsIt seems reasonable that for the Twitter Feed to function, a Twitter tracker is needed. For Custom Contact Forms it is probably the Captcha from Google that is a reason for the trackers. The Social Media and Share Icons shouldn’t however install trackers. Since those are only links to my social media, no integration. I will have to find an alternative for that one.
Thank you very much for your help!

In reply to: Can't load WP-Admin page (blank)Well, thank you very much! I managed to access the server via FTP and delete the folder of the faulty plugin. Never used FTP before, but it turned out to be not that difficult. Pfoeh, I’m saved.
Thank you very much!
