I have been able to resolve this by deactivating the plugin W3 Total Cache – it seems there was a conflict with this plugin.

If I go to Events -> Settings that page works
If I go to Events -> Venues that page works
If I go to Events -> Help: blank screen!
If I go to Events – > Add new : blank screen!

any ideas????
