 * Hi Esmi and kmessinger. Yes I tried using Google and as I said we used all the
suggestions found on several different forums. Nothing worked. We checked to
see if the Host itself has blocked the IP through the firewall and they say they
have not. Port 80 is not blocked either. As I mentioned, we actually turned the
   firewall off and nothing changed.
 * Like you Esmi, I do not believe the problem is with WP blocking my site, but
a problem on the server. I came here as a last resort to see if there could be
other issues / suggestions. There are none. With this in mind – I have taken
the decision to move all my sites to a new host which can actually handle wordpress
   sites.

 * Hi esmi, thanks for that. Frankly I doubt it is as there is no reason for it,
but I have been psting on this forum for a solution for a few months now, and
all I have been face with is a wall of silence. So – if wordpress is not blocking
my IP, what can it be?
 * We tried testing it with disable firewalls, CURL, Port80 open and a load more
suggestions on several other forums. We are stummped and hit a very thick brick
   wall

 * I am on 11.30.2 (build 1). The thing is it did pick up the wirldcard all too
well. In fact it automatically created a folder called ‘wildcard’ – Silly server!

 * Yep – that was the issue.
 * Basically, for the benefit for anyone to make this silly mistake, here is what
   happened.
 * In CPanel, I created the wildcard * .domain.com
 * The problem is that by default, CPanel interprets that * as a folder and thus
created a new folder called wildcard.
 * So, if you do set this up and have problems, check your subdomain again. If you
see it created a folder called wildcard, delete the subdomain, then re-create
it. Before saving your subdomain, make sure the field in Document Root is empty.
 * Thanks for your help Andrea_r and Ipstenu.

 * Actually there is nothing on the front end of the subdomain other than the host
   page parked page:

 * Thanks for your BTW input Ipstenu.

 * No I did not have any subdomains before that. But as I said, subdomains using
WordPress multisite does work on the front end, but not in the dashboard of the
   subdomain.
