  • Hi,

In your folder, that you’ve installed the wordpress blog, gather it is on the same folder as your website?

The site http://www.hammocksonline.co.nz here there, however, you won’t the see the blog, because it’ll display the http://www.hammocksonline.co.nz webpage,

Do you want to have the blog other write your website? You can remove the website.

If so: (here is my disclaimer: make sure you back up your website: I am not responisble if your files go missing ok?)

But safer option is to create a hyperlink linking to your blog. So install wordpress in a folder called blog, and create the blog online, once you are ready to launch the blog include a hyperlink to your bglog from your website.

I help this helps. I would suggest go with the latter option

    Hi There,

I’ve got the wp-database plugin installed, and the I’ve placed this onto my blog, however, MyPHPadmin says I need to drop the wpcomments table.

This case I get the infamous “Error connecting to database”.

The second thing I’ve tried is creating a new database and uploading the wp-database from your online into this new database.

I get a white screen when I load it locally.

One of my mates is a database designer and he said ensure that the languages from the SQL is the same from your hosting to the local host. I’ll give that a try.

I’ve also tried copying the entire online blog into localhost. And just says error connecting to the database.

    Thanks
