@herbie4 V30 at my own and the 2 at my office, V29 at the other.

all three with and without a slash at the end of the WebDAV path.Just tried another thing: With a nonexisting UserID the error is the same. It occurrs before the remote cloud is contacted (otherwise I would see it in the Apache2 log of my NC)
Got four NC instances, one of our federal organisation, my own one, two I’m administrating on my job.

Löschen nach Speicherlimit in MBPassword is an application specific password because I use 2FA in all clouds. Within the Nextcloud instances there is no configuration concerning WebDAV that is not default.
Error while checking the connection (or doing a backup) still:

No change here. Tried it with my own Nextcloud and the one where the backups should be located. Both still get the syntax error.

Same Problem here. For some months.
Seems to be a PHP coding error/syntax problem within the plugin. Can it be fixed?
