In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product column displaying incorrectlyHello dougaitken,
Thank you for replying to my support request and for trying to help me with this.I also posted a similar question in the support forums of my theme provider before I posted in here, and they replied today to my query, suggesting I include the following piece of code in Appearance > Customisation > Additional CSS
#main-area .product.first {
padding-top: 0 !important;
}And to be joy it worked perfectly, now all the columns line up as you would expect them to.
I thought it would be worth posting the results in this forum in case any other reader comes across as similar issue, and also so you know how I fixed it.
Thanks again for your help, I greatly appreciate you taking the time to reply to my support query.
Kind Regards,

In reply to: [Theme My Login] Username/Password Text Box OverflowI understand that Jeff but I don’t know what CSS I need to add/change to set the width. I’m not a coder but I did go through the code in the files for the plugin to see if anything stood out but everything I tried made no difference to the width size.
All I need is for you to tell me which piece of code refers to the username and password text box width and which file I can find it in. Once I know that I can make the changes.
Thanks

In reply to: [Theme My Login] Username/Password Text Box OverflowIs there a solution to this problem, I can’t believe it is that difficult to just reduce the width of the username and password boxes on the sidebar widget but I genuinely don’t know what piece of code I need to change to fix this.
I really would appreciate any help, advice or pointers just so I can resolve this issue once and for all.
Many thanks in advance
WayneIncredibly, that was the problem all along.
Its hard to describe how much I have played around with the settings and configuration of this plugin, but it never occurred to me once to try and change it from Pages to Static Pages, but it works now – brilliantly too I might add.
Thank you for your help Joachim, I could not have got this working properly without your help and for that I am very grateful.
Thank you for taking the time to help me resolve this problem
Many thanks
WayneJust to update you on where I am with this, I haven’t yet found a solution to my problem but this is my current situation:
I have discovered that whatever page I make the ‘homepage’ I cannot select that page in the Conditional Logic drop-down box, it just doesn’t appear.
To test this theory I created a new page with some random text and saved it as ‘mypage’ – I then navigated to my WordPress dashboard to Settings > Reading > Front Page Displays > and selected ‘a static page’ followed by the newly created ‘mypage’ from the drop-down box.
I then navigated back to User Access > Access Levels > Estate Agent Level > and tried to select the page called mypage from the drop-down box within the Conditional Logic element, but it wasn’t there. A page called ‘Home’ was there however (this is the page I previously set as the home page)
If I then go through this process once more and reassign ‘Home’ as the home page, I can now see the page called ‘mypage’ in the drop-down box within the Conditional Logic element of the Estate Agent Level.
This is really frustrating because I need to restrict access to the home page for anyone not logged into the website, and redirect them to the Login page.
Also, if I log in using the estate agent credentials, I cannot view or access the Overview page – this is exactly what I expected. However, if I log in with the developer credentials, I can see the Overview menu item at the top of the page – again this is what I expected to happen, but when I click on the Overview link it redirects me to the Login page (Ahhhhhhh !!!!).
Can you see now why I’m pulling my hair out trying to get this to work properly.
If you can see anything obvious what I might be doing wrong, I would greatly appreciate your feedback. I’m even prepared to set up a temporary user account with Administrator privileges for you to log into my website and check everything yourself, just to satisfy yourself that I have configured your plugin correctly.
Other than that I am quite lost for a workable solution to this problem and would love to get it to work properly, if you have any other suggestions.
Many thanks
WayneHello Joachim,
Thank you for taking the time to reply to my support request.Unfortunately I have come up against a problem almost straight away, in fact its the same problem I was experiencing before but I just assumed I must be doing something wrong.
When I create a New Access Level and name it Estate Agent Level, I select Pages in the Content type drop-down box but there is no page called Home showing in the list when I try to select it, even though that page is present in my Pages folder.
My first thought was it may have something to do with it being the home page, in that its what the website serves when a user visits the main URL, but that just seems odd.
I’m scratching my head wondering if I’m doing something wrong.
Any ideas?
Thanks

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Unable to make 'Shop' page full widthThanks for taking the time to reply Mike, I am grateful.
The bit about it not being a real page does make sense, but the bit about the custom archive-product.php went straight over my head unfortunately.
I tend to be ok with designing and building the content for the front end of a WordPress site, but close to useless when it comes to anything to do with the backend.

In reply to: [Theme My Login] Text box overflowI’ve been through almost every theme-my-login file using the WordPress editor, searching for something like Value=” “, or Size=” “, or Width=” ” – expecting the width of the login username and password boxes would relate to something like this.
But I’m not a coder, I have no idea what I’m looking for – its just guesswork and I’ve spent hours checking every file line-by-line and still I can’t find anything that impacts on the size of these text boxes.
Its like anything, when you know what you’re looking for you wonder how you missed it in the first place, right now I feel like I’m searching for a needle in a haystack and its beyond frustrating.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

In reply to: [Theme My Login] Text box overflowI suppose everything is simple when you know what you’re doing. I’m not a coder and I’ve never dabbled with CSS, so I really have no idea what to do?

In reply to: [Theme My Login] Text box overflowIs this possible or not?
I thought it would have been a really simple solution by just changing the width of the text boxes, but I’m not sure where to find that code?
Any suggestions?

In reply to: Error Importing SQL Database – 404 File or directory not foundThanks very much for taking the time to reply to my post, I wasn’t even aware that I could upload a zip file, I just assumed it had to be an SQL file but after zipping it up I got the size down to below 5MB and it uploaded without any issues at all, so I now know it was the file size causing the error message.
However that hasn’t completely resolved the issue as I seem to be experiencing something else now.
Once the zip file has been imported if I then navigate to my website, instead of seeing my wordpress blog all I see is another error message:
Not Found
The requested document was not found on this serverWhen I check the database in phpMyAdmin after the import I can see loads and loads of additional tables and records that were not there before the import, so that would indicate the import has worked, the only noticable difference I can see is prior to the import, the basic wordpress tables were listed with their relevant names, after the import I see every table prefixed with wp_ and the original tables seem to have vanished, or perhaps been overwritten with the imported tables … but I’m not sure if that has any relevence on this issue, I’m really clutching at straws!
If anyone can shed some light on this I would again be very grateful for your input.
Kind regards,

In reply to: Display Problems in Internet ExplorerI don’t know, I’ve almost given up on this .. I turned all the plugins off and still the problem was there. I don’t think it can be related to a colour issue Andrea otherwise I would experience the same problem when viewing the site with other web browsers.
I’m scratching my head wondering what to try next !!

In reply to: Display Problems in Internet ExplorerHi Andrea,
I’ve running Internet Explorer version 9.0.8112.16421Is there any reason why IE would be causing this problem, the issue didn’t appear until I resolved the last problem as outlined in my post above, and I completed the Network Update task.
I’m tempted to think there may be a relationship with my original problem and this one now, but I really have no idea and any suggestions you can offer to remedy this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Wayne
