    Hi!

Thank you for using WooCommerce Product Table Lite and writing in with your query. The PRO version of the product table plugin has a facility called ‘archive override’ which lets you assign your custom product table layouts to all or specific woocommerce archive pages such as shop, search, categories, attributes, tags and brands with just a couple of clicks (see archive override documentation here).

This means you could create a single product table, and assign it to all your woocommerce product category pages. And on these category pages the products will be displayed in the product table of your choice instead of the default woocommerce grid layout.

The product table plugin will automatically show the correct set of products in the table on your category pages based on the current category. So you don’t have to create multiple product tables, nor re-write the same shortcode with category shortcode attribute.

You just need to tell the plugin which product table you would like to use for your woocommerce archive pages and it handles the rest. You have the flexibility to keep the default woocommerce grids on specific archive pages of your choice, or to assign different product table layouts to different archive pages based on your shop needs.

I hope this information helps answer your query. Please feel free to write in if you have any other questions about our product table plugin.

    Hi!

Thank you for using WooCommerce Product Table Lite 🙂

The ‘Button’ element in the product table can be fully styled with comprehensive design options provided in the settings of the element. But I understand you want the element to automatically inherit your current button styling. While the product table plugin’s own Button element cannot inherit design in such a way it does provide you the option to replace the product table’s button with the default woocommerce button element. In some cases using this option also provides added measure of compatibility with 3rd party plugins that are designed to influence the woocommerce button element.

To put the product table plugin’s Button element in ‘compatibility’ mode select the very first option in its settings labeled “Use default WooCommerce button from product page”. Once you have enabled this option the button will switch over to the woocommerce version. This solution works well most of the time but results may vary depending on how the theme is providing styling for the woocommerce button, and how it interacts with the product table plugin’s own stylesheet.

Another option is to give the table’s Button element and HTML class and add styling for it in your child theme stylesheet so you don’t have to re-apply it while creating new tables/buttons.

I hope this solution helps with your requirement and please feel free to write in if you have further questions on this or anything else related to the plugin.

Btw – in case you are concerned about re-styling the button element over and over again while creating multiple product tables I would like to make another suggestion. The plugin comes with a large set of shortcode attributes/options to help you modify the query for the table directly from the shortcode itself. So you can create a single ‘template’ product table, then print out varied sets of products on your site simply by modifying the shortcode each time you type it out on your site pages. For more information I will recommend checking out the plugin documentation on shortcode options.

    Hi Mike,

Thank you for using WooCommerce Product Table Lite/PRO. I will be happy to answer. In the settings of the Short Description element there is an option to set the word limit. If if you leave this field empty, then the entire short description is going to be printed. But if you find that the short description is still getting truncated despite the word limit field being empty then it means that another third-party module on your site is interfering and reducing the word limit for the short description. In this case, you can follow the ‘Debugging steps’ on the support page of the product table plugin to find the conflicting, and I will take it from there.

    Hi Patricia,

Thank you for your query about my plugin WooCommerce Product Table PRO / Lite. I will be happy to answer.

First you need to create products in your woocommerce shop based on your excel file. So far the process has nothing to do with the product table plugin — you need to use the woocommerce plugin on your wordpress store to create your products with appropriate categories, tags, description and images based on your excel sheet and general product information.

Now once you have your woocommerce products setup, you can use the product table plugin to show your products in a table layout instead of the default grid layout used by woocommerce. You can also add a search bar above the table and in the settings of the search bar you can direct it to search through specific product properties to match against the visitor entered keywords – such as product name, category, tags, description, attributes etc.

The whole process should be quire straightforward. First I will recommend checking out woocommerce related videos and documentation online. There are step-by-step resources out there to help you create a woocommerce store for your products. After you have correctly setup your woocommerce products and can view them on your site, next please check out the product table plugin’s documentation and step-by-step tutorials to setup your product listing as per your specifications. You can also add the search facility like I mentioned above.

In case you get stuck anywhere please feel free to write in. Happy to answer any further questions related to the product table plugin.

    Hi!

Thank you for using WooCommerce Product Table PRO and writing in with your query. Yes, I received your support email but there seems to be some confusion here because I have very much replied to your email. We have exchanged a couple of emails after your first message and my last reply was on 13th November, 2024. Maybe it went to spam? I tested the two plugins together at my end and found it was not causing any issues on my test site so I requested some further clarity. Please check your email and reply back and I will be happy to help resolve this issue for you asap.

Hi! Thanks for writing in directly via email regarding the issue you faced. Glad to hear it resolved on its own as it was simply some caching or other issue at your site, not related to the plugin. Feel free to write in if you have further questions – Kartik
