While GSAP is now free to use, it is **not licensed under GPL**. Instead, it uses GreenSock’s **proprietary “No Charge” license**, which allows free usage (even for commercial projects) but is **not GPL-compatible**. * WordPress.org only allows plugins that include **GPL-compatible code**, so we are **not allowed to bundle GSAP** in our free plugin on the WordPress.org repository.
