In reply to: [KJM Admin Notices] Update?Hi @koulis,
Yes, the new 1.0.6 release is there!
Apart from a little bug fix on the Global Param “Child Theme” which was not detected properly, and some other minor stuffs, the main improvement is the ability to define in the settings what minimum Role or Capability is needed to be able to post Notices.
Do not hesitate to come back to me if you have any question or comment!
Thanks you all for your patience 🙂

In reply to: [KJM Admin Notices] Update?Oh my bad! I meant :
Even if this plugin is not marked as “WP 4.x compatible”, you will be able to install it and it will work alright in WordPress 4.9.x.
So, yes, you can install in WP 4.9.5 without problem!

In reply to: [KJM Admin Notices] Update?Hi @nbrown317 and @mbaker2017, sorry for the late reply, for some reason, it seems I dont get email notifications sent from this support forum in my inbox.
Even if this plugin is not marked as “WP 4.x compatible”, you will be able to install it and it will work alright in WordPress 4.6.x.
I am planning to release a new version soon that will bring some new features and maybe some small fixes here and there.
If you ever find a bug or if you have any comment about the features, feel free to post the details in this support forum 😉
Thanks for your patience and interest in this plugin!

In reply to: [KJM Admin Notices] Role Notice SubmissionsHi again @mbaker2017,
We just made a new dev version of the plugin with that feature implemented!
Dev version 1.0.6-dev. - Added ability to define users roles or capability allowed to send notices. You should have received an email with this dev version, please feel free to test it and tell me if it fits your needs.
This will be part of the coming version 1.0.6, so then when the official release will come, you will only have to update the plugin as normally.
Best regards,

In reply to: [KJM Admin Notices] Role Notice SubmissionsHi @mbaker2017,
Thanks for your interest in the KJM Admin Notices plugin!
Actually this plugin is designed to be used only by the site Admin.
But we plan to add the ability to define other users roles as allowed to send notices.
This is a good use case and I admit it would be one of the top issues for the next release 🙂
So, I will take a look into how to implement it and will notify you as soon as this is ready!
Au plaisir,

In reply to: [KJM Admin Notices] only Private postsThank you for your comment! First of all, I’m very sorry for the time to answer 🙁 Very busy in the last weeks… This is my first WP plugin. In the beginning, I was looking at the plugin page almost every day to be sure no question was there. After a time, I said to myself : I will certainly receive an email or a notification of any type… Finally, it seems no notification is sent to the author from WP!!
From our FAQ about the Private status :
Why on publish, Admin Notices always get the ‘Private’ status?
This is a built-in feature. At current state, KJM Admin Notices always set the status of a Notice to ‘Private’ on publish. It is to make sure only logged-in users can see notices and comment them, if ‘Allow Comments’ option is enabled. Future releases will have more options about it.
In the current state of development of this plugin, Admin Notices are meant to be used in the admin side of WP. But we plan to add more options in a future development step.
You will also find additional answers on the plugin page : https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/kjm-admin-notices/#faq-header

In reply to: [KJM Admin Notices] email not send, comment where is?Thank you for your comment!
This is what we actually recommends about Send Email option :
Admin Notices don’t get sent by email?
First, make sure the ‘Send Email’ option is on. Same thing on your notice edit screen, make sure the ‘Send Email’ option is checked. Also make sure you checked relevant roles in ‘Show Notice to Roles’. Lastly, you have to take in account that KJM Admin Notices only send email on publish of an existing post. The suggested way to do it is to first create a notice with ‘Draft’ state, then when you are set, you just have to publish it to get the emails sent. You will see a big green button in the ‘Sent’ column which shows to how many people th notice has been sent.
Comment System
The built-in WP comment system is used to comment Admin Notices. In the current state of development of this plugin, Admin Notices are meant to be used in the admin side of WP. You will be able to comment by editing your Admin Notice and going to the “Comments” meta-box (below the editor). Be sure to tick the “Comments” checkbox in the Screen Options (the tab up right) or else the comment metabox will not be visible!
We plan to enhance the comment functionality in a future development.
Views Count
I’m not sure which feature you are talking about. Is this another plugin feature or a WordPress feature?
Since Admin Notices items are in a “Private” status and do not display on the public website, chances are there will be no view in frontend views/statistics! But this is a good suggestion! Views counter… 🙂

In reply to: [External Media] External Media ACF conflictAnd do you had time since 6 months? I confirm incompatibility with ACF version 4.4.11 and ACF Pro version : 5.5.5 that cause the WordPress editor to bug.
There is a Javascript error in WP Admin when adding a CPT item.
For example, I’m not able to switch between visual and text mode in the editor.
JS errors in the console are :
TypeError: wp.media.view.settings.post is undefined
TypeError: QTags is not a constructorThanks for taking a look into that!
Have a nice day,

In reply to: [Show notice or message on admin area] Dismissable notices would be greatHi again, I decided to create a brand new plugin to manage custom Admin Notices. My needs was to be able to display notices to targeted users roles and of course, enable them to permanently dismiss a notice after it’s read. And being able to keep track of which notices has been made.
This is a tool to help WP websites management, so I added some cool functions like Send Email, Show/hide Notices titles and full-HTML support, possibility to activate comments, add tags, choose one of the 4 built-in WP admin notices colors. To keep track of the context when a notice was sent, some installation infos are kept alongside with the notice, eg: installed plugins list and versions, installed theme and version, etc.
It’s available now on WP.org here if you want to give a try: KJM Admin Notices

In reply to: [Show notice or message on admin area] Dismissable notices would be greatHey there! Here is a working demo I just wrote implementing dismissable notices!

Feel free to re-fork or take the idea in it!
Just found another interesting solution provided by the library “WordPress Dismissible Notices Handler” which could be integrated instead :

In reply to: [Simple Share Buttons Adder] Share Simple Button Adder isn't workingI confirm that FB counter isn’t working anymore on my side too (on 2 sites which was working before). Doesn’t seems to be any response from the owner about that, that’s sad… Even on their own forum for the “Plus” version :
https://simplesharebuttons.com/forums/topic/counters-not-working/
We’ll have to look at another plugin or service, any advise welcome! Is the main issue of this post have been fixed?
Overlapping of filters happens in my side since the beginning I use this plugin (1 year ago at least) and it still do it now.
After a filter have been closed, the code is still there. Using CSS property
opacity:0;doesn’t really make an element to disappear, only not being visible. Usignz-indexisn’t better in most cases. You should usedisplay: none;.The result is, after closing a filter list, it is still there but invisible, so clicking below will activate an unknown filter, therefore it’s really annoying and if not fixed, sadly I will have to choose another plugin soon!
Thanks for your awesome work!
