I assume you mean here to display a message from a set of random messages not display a set of random messages. Yes, that’s doable. It has not been added since this does not seem to be a generic requirement.

Lite Version:
1. Security release following the correct and secured approach for ajax requests as per wordpress standards.
2. Option to drop or not to drop plugin settings and table on plugin un-installation. This will help in retaining like/unlike counts and settings which can be used in future/upgrading to PRO version
3. Replaced all id attributes by class so that the buttons can be placed in more than one positions inside the template

Pro Version:
1. Includes all the features mentioned above
2. Completely compatible with multisite set up. No need to activate the plugin on each subsite to install the plugin settings.
3. Functionality for automatically adding meta data at the time of post creation
4. Functionality for showing the like/unlike buttons for post excerpts
5. Functionality for allowing/disallowing author to vote against own post
6. Auto-update functionality as per standard wordpress plugin update process
7. Some features for the widgets as well

Both the versions are almost completed and they will be available in max 2 weeks’ time. Your patience is highly appreciated.

As far as your issues are concerned, I suspect there is something wrong with your set up.

– Why I see 2 set of like/unlike icons on the above shared link?
– You should not be using any class or id matching with the ones used in the plugin. I see a div having class as “like” which contains the like/unlike buttons section. Try changing that something else.

Please change them and lets check again here.

I assume you are using this theme http://demo.mythemeshop.com/s/?theme=Bloggie. I had a look at your site url. If I am not wrong, you are showing the post excerpts on the home page. But I suspect there is no actual excerpt added to the post, only content have been added.

This is how the excerpt works in wordpress. When the excerpt is rendered on the site, wordpress first checks for the actual excerpt added to the respective posts. If it’s available, then it directly uses that excerpt. In case it does not exist, then wordpress executes a function which extracts the excerpt from the post content. This function removes all tags (mainly html) content. This removes the html content for my plugin as well leaving only the like/unlike counts and that is what you see on your home page.

I hope I am clear with my explanation. You can put the same text in the excerpt box on admin post add/edit section and you will see only that text on the home page. It won’t show the like/unlike counts as its currently shown.

Seems to be having some conflict may be with javascript or the theme. Its not sending the correct information while processing the request causing the problem.

When I checked the source code, its not loading the plugin javascript file wti_like_post.js instead its code is present directly in the head section. So have you altered anything with this plugin? If yes, can you please use the plugin as it was given? Please let me know whether it made any changes or not. Also I would like to know the theme you are using.
