I don’t know if this will help you but I also had exactly the same problem. In my Google Photos account I had the albums sorted in ‘most recent photo’ order but in the Photonic plugin they were displayed in an apparently random order (this actually appears to be the order they are displayed on the left hand side menu under Albums). I found that setting the option ‘What type of album’ to ‘Show both shared and not shared albums’ solved the issue. Originally I had intuitively set it to ‘Only show shared albums’
