I believe you want to use Stable.
Hi @zurcherart,
I’m going to go ahead and close out this issue but if you’re still having trouble and are able to identify which plugin is causing the conflict, please feel free to start a new thread and we’ll be happy to help.
Wow, thank you so much @dviolante for the awesome review! We’re so glad to hear that you like the plugin and that it has solved a big need for you.
Hi @dviolante,
Glad to hear you like the plugin!
Yes, all of the strings are translatable. One option is to localize the plugin per the instructions here. Another option is to use a language plugin such as WPML or Polylang and translate the strings within WordPress.
I hope this helps!
Hi @sunnyt13,
Thanks for the positive feedback and the suggestion. We’ll definitely look into adding that as a feature at some point.
In the meantime, you can accomplish this by using the Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order plugin.
I hope this helps!
So when you save the changes on the Settings > Wicked Folders page the settings appear to be saved? For example, if you turn on folders for Posts and save the settings, the Posts box is still checked?
What happens you save the settings and then click on the Settings > Wicked Folders link? Does the setting still appear correct or does it change?
Hmmmm, what happens if you try changing another setting such as the site title on the Settings > General page? Does that setting get saved?
Hi @besky,
That is really strange. So even with all other plugins deactivated the settings still don’t get saved?
Are you using the latest version of WordPress and Wicked Folders? Are you using multisite?
One thing you may want to try is adding
define( 'WP_DEBUG', true )to your wp-config.php file. Then try saving the settings again and see if an error is displayed. If so, can you please post it?Hi @zurcherart,
Just thought I’d follow up and find out if you had any luck identifying which plugin may be causing the conflict?
Hi @terrawide,
Thanks for pointing this out. We’ll look into this and see if there is a way to get those Admin Columns features to work when the “Don’t reload page when navigating folders” option is turned on.
And we can add some additional information to help clarify the setting!
Hi @terrawide,
Thank you for the suggestion! We’ll look into this and see if there’s a way to position the folder pane differently that doesn’t require specific positions.
Hi @zurcherart,
Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. What you’re describing is normally caused by a conflict with another plugin.
I would recommend temporarily deactivating all other plugins to see if the issue goes away. If so, you can identify which plugin is causing the issue by reactivating the plugins one-at-a-time until the issue re-appears.
Once you’ve identified which plugin is causing the conflict, let me know and I’d be happy to troubleshoot further to determine what specifically is causing the conflict.
Hi @fieldsf,
I’m going to go ahead and mark this issue as resolved but, if you still have questions or need help, feel free to let me know.
Hey @aurepons,
Just wanted to let you know that this has been fixed in the latest version of the plugin.
If you still have trouble after updating, please let us know!
Thanks for clarifying, that helps a lot.
We’ve made some adjustments to the plugin so that each language has its own folder pane “state”. Meaning that if you switch a language, it will return to the last folder you were in for that language. It will also remember which folders were expanded.
We’re going to do some more testing just to make sure nothing has broken as part of this change and then we’ll release an update to the plugin. We’ll likely do that tomorrow (or Monday at the latest).
