Thanks Nicholas,
Is there any update from your development team?
Hello Nicholas,
Thank you for trying out and for the video recording.
I apologize for the unclear instructions. Everything you have done is correct. What’s next is the steps 5 and 6:
At checkout, please add the cross-sell product to the cart by clicking the “Get this exclusive offer now!” button. Once the product is added, switch the currency to the other currency. You’ll notice that the price conversion for the cross-sell product is incorrect at this point.
This means the issue specifically happens when a product is added to the cart via the cross-sell section. It also happens if you add the cross-sell product in currency A and then switch to currency B.
Here’s a recording for your better understanding: https://www.loom.com/share/6d2cbe51663f495fbe8f145307be5002?sid=0f384a47-785a-464e-9712-e1667f8602ba
I hope this clears up the confusion. Let me know if you stumbled upon any challenge reproducing the issue.
Totally understand the restriction. Here’s how you can reproduce the issue:
- Set up 2 currencies with WPML
- Install UpsellWP https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/checkout-upsell-and-order-bumps/
- Create 2 products, product A and B
- Follow this guide to create a cross-sell promo at checkout. You may set the rule as if product A is in cart, user can get product B at $50 discount https://docs.upsellwp.com/campaigns/checkout-upsells
- Go to checkout page after adding product A to cart, you should see a cross-sell section featuring product B. Add that product B to cart.
- Switch to the other currency, the price of the cross-sell product B added to cart should be wrong at this point. The issue happens too if you add that product B to cart when the site is in second currency, then switch to first currency
Feel free to let me know if you face any challenge reproducing the issue. Appreciate you help!
Hi Nicholas,
Thank you for your solutions.
UpsellWP team has implemented suggestion 1 and 2 on my website but the issue is still happening. I have also deactivated discount rule plugins and switched back to default WPML currency switcher at header. Due to our business operation we have to keep the currency switcher and not just disabling currency by detecting location.
Do you need the login access to the website to inspect the issue?
Looking forward to your reply. Thank you.
