 * Thanks, interesting that there isn’t a WordPress.org theme or distribution of
   sorts? Is it accurate to say that this review functionality is built with off-
   the-shelf plugins (if so which ones?) or is it purely custom?
 * The main thing I’m interested is establishing a parent-child relationship in
   the application of a review site.

 * Good to hear this plugin supports individual products. Does it establish a parent-
   child relationship between products and reviews or something else?

 * This is an interesting question. I’m on the hunt to finding the ideal review
   plugin for my project, namely a social book review site. I want users to be able
   to submit reviews to a book, thus need a parent child relationship between a
   book and review post type.
 * Those two post types can be built using the Types module, but I just wonder if
   this plugin can be the “review engine” of sorts to handle post relationships
   and display of the custom post types?

 * On the topic of feature requests, here’s some I have in mind:
    – parent/child
   relationship between book and review post types – customizable fields for book
   and review post types – checklists, radio buttons, conditional etc. – be able
   add books or reviews from the front end (form plugin compatibility) without the
   need of going through the dashboard – integration with Open Library plugin to
   search and create book posts automatically using data from Open Library (or other
   book database system) – support comments to reviews – support helpful/not helpful
   review ratings and review display sorting – custom and automated taxonomies based
   on book meta data (title, author, ISBN etc.)
 * Of the several book review plugins available on WP, none of them offer these
   features. And as this plugin is quite new, I think this is the right, and this
   would be the right plugin to have these features implemented if possible.
 * Good luck and thanks

 * Okay, thanks. That clears up a lot and made my decision much easier. Thanks for
   taking the time to explain this stuff for me.

   when a specified radio button within in a radio/select group is selected?

 * Good points.
 * I think I’ve come across some possible non-custom approaches for form-to-post
   functionality. It seems my best approach would be create a custom “book” and “
   review” post type using the “Types” plugin and then [this](http://wordpress.org/plugins/gravity-forms-custom-post-types/)
   plugin (or something similar) to make the form-to-post connection.
 * I will have to investigate further, but it’s a pity that I’m somewhat reinventing
   the wheel since your plugin readily offers much of the functionality (book- and
   review-wise).
 * I’ve yet to check this myself, but to save some time, with your plugin, does
   it create a parent-child relationship between the book and review post types?
   And does it support multiple reviews for a single book?
 * Thanks again

 * Thanks for the response.
 * I am planning a community book review site where site users can add reviews to
   a book, thus a one-to-many relationship between book and review.
 * You mentioned that your plugin displays book data at the TOP of the page, which
   in my case could be useful. I’m envisioning a review “view” of sorts with the
   book and book data positioned at the top, with however many related reviews,
   displayed beneath the book/book data. Can this be accomplished with your plugin
   in?
 * Also, does your plugin support a parent-child post relationship with the book
   post being the parent, and subsequent reviews of the book, being the child? Also,
   can these book and reviews posts be created via the front end (not via the dashboard)?
 * Thanks again

 * So there is no way to use a form plugin to create posts ie. mapping form fields
   to create post form fields?
 * I ask, because when you mentioned that this plugin creates book review posts
   via the dashboard, it started to get me a little concerned with the user experience
   and thus wondering if a non-dashboard form would be better.
 * Thanks again

   find my bearings as I come from a Drupal background.

 * Thanks, I had come across the paid-plugin Views you mentioned. It’s a pity there
   is not a free equivalent, or is there?
 * Is there a hackworthy approach to do it using existing free plug-ins?

 * +1
 * I think this would be useful and powerful feature too, especially for parent-
   child relationships such that fields from the parent post could be sued to autocomplete
   or prepopulate fields on the child post.
 * How difficult would prepopulate be in addition to autocomplete?

 * I’m assuming this feature is similar to [Node References](https://drupal.org/project/references)(
   Drupal module equivalent).
 * Does this plugin already support displaying the count of child posts to parents
   posts? Also, can this be made into a link, linking to a page displaying all relevant
   child posts? Would it be possible to have this linked page display within the
   parent post (a nested container of sorts)?

 * Could you please elaborate on how you’re planning to replicate Views with WordPress?
   I too am very new to WP and come from a Drupal background, and would like to
   see the best way to achieve some of that functionality without having to pay
   for any plugins.

 * Gotcha.
 * Along the topic of using a form plugin, can they (Ninja and Gravity) be used
   to create a form (add book or review) to interface with this plugin, ie. avoiding
   the dashboard?
 * For a free form plugin alternative, do you have experience with [Form Maker](http://wordpress.org/plugins/form-maker/screenshots/)?
   Would it provide the same functionality as the other two?
 * Also, based on looking at the screenshots provided with the plugin, it appears
   the other fields – genre, author etc. – are predefined and fixed. Is that the
   case? I ask because I’d like to add additional fields related to book and book
   review, such as location.
