    Hi Zubair,

Yes, I’ve been in contact with AutomateWoo support again, and am now talking with someone who seems to understand what I need to do, and is being helpful by talking me through possible workflows. It’s taken a while to get to this point, but I’m glad I’m getting some help now!

    Thanks again 🙂

Hi Zubair and thanks for your reply.

In my original post I was told:
I’d recommend checking out the AutomateWoo plugin. With AutomateWoo, you can easily set up automated workflows to send customers emails when a product has been updated.

    And:
if you have a valid license, you can open a support request with us. We will be able to help you further there.

I have contacted support numerous times, as suggested, with very mixed responses – one even told me to email the PDFs manually! – but no actual resolution. If, as told, we can easily set-up automated workflows for the task I need, why do we need to bring in an additional developer?

I honestly feel at this point that I was mis-sold the plug-in. Either that, or there’s insufficient support for this product from the developers. Which is a shame.

This week I plan to speak with my webdev to discuss cancelling my subscription to AutomateWoo. I’m considering UncannyAutomator instead, which seems much better geared towards digital products, workshops and live webinars.

    Thanks for your help.

    Thanks for your reply!

I’ve been looking at AutomateWoo and trying to work it out if it’s functionality will do what I need.

It looks like the ‘Add Note to Order’ trigger could work for what I need, if I could add notes to bulk orders in one go, then send an email based on that – the note/email could simply let customers know the PDF/eBook has been updated, and to use their original download link to access it. The plug-in does have other features which I could use too, so it’d be fantastic if it could work this way.

For the eLearning side, my web dev has recommened LearnDash so we have that installed, so I think we’re covered, but I’ll check the others out as well.

Thanks for recommending something that was already on my radar, it’s reassuring to know I was looking in the right place!
