We are going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.
Thanks!
@ashewebmaster thanks for reaching out.
Can you describe the steps in your process and where you are trying to embed the campaign, if this is a legacy campaign or one built via the visual builder, and if the campaign is published or not.
As for your second question if i’m understanding you correctly Charitable doesn’t generate a sidebox on campaign pages – that would likely be associated with whatever template you are using with your active WordPress theme.
I hope this helps, and we’ll keep an eye out for your responses.
@yvonnekapsa thank you for these comments! it’s people like you that keep us trying to work hard to provide best possible experience. thanks for using Charitable!
@uxmark this is much appreciated. Thank you!
@lornamayers no problem. let us know if you have any questions we can answer, we know what it’s like to inherit sites!
@lornamayers thanks for reaching out. what you are referring to appears to be something controlled or added by your theme, not by the Charitable plugin. You appear to be using the Charitemax theme – I would reach out to their support with this question. While the theme advertises it integrates with Charitable the header isn’t something our plugin handles and we have no ties with those who make the Charitemax theme.
I hope this helps. Let me know if there are any questions we can answer. Thanks for using Charitable!
@macbookandrew thank you. never got the register email back, but we did confirm with a recent version of facetwp what was being observed with the REST API endpoints. Our team is going to look further and it seems likely an update to resolve this will be in the next version (either next minor or next major) version of Charitable coming in the upcoming weeks. 👍🏻
First of all, thanks for reaching out to us about the conflict with FacetWP and providing a patch. I’m going to pass this along to the team to review with the information you provided so far.
Would it be possible to supply additional information:
1. What version of FacetWP you are using.
2. I know you saw you couldn’t provide a test case, but can you describe what settings/setup the site had with FacetWP, where you saw the 404 errors, etc. so we can duplicate the issue on our end to confirm the (eventual) fix?Since this is part of Charitable core we wouldn’t also mind reaching out to you to ensure a possible fix in a future version works fine for your client. If you want to share your contact information securely with us here (and feel free if you want to include the above info we requested in that sharing), we would def. follow up. And, thank you!
@crazyqbygrl Thank you very much! Greatly appreciate you as a customer and your feedback. 🙂
@verrix Glad we could help. Just a note that the stripping of HTML is done on purpose for security reasons. The filter allows you to override it if you so choose. Thanks for using Charitable and have a good day! 🙂
Thanks for reaching out – yes this can be disabled via a filter. Here’s the code snippet which you can copy and paste into your functions.php of your active theme: https://library.wpcode.com/snippet/e5wmmnpo/
This allows you to add HTML in the description fields of legacy campaigns in the admin.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
@pagan11460 Yep, and we just responded. I’ll close this conversation since we don’t to disclose any sensitive information. Thank you!
@pagan11460 thank you for reaching out to us and letting us know about this issue. while our team takes a look feel free to contact us and we will gladly and quickly send you a link and/or reset your password.
Thanks!
@jdowns1 Just an update. We will be pushing out a potential fix for this in 1.8.0 which is going to be released soon. Just need to make sure to pass the value as a string like:
‘allow_custom_donations’ => ‘0’,
or
‘allow_custom_donations’ => ‘1’
Thanks!@abcca We did get this information and for now we will close this particular conversation but might update things here once the information has been confirmed and we have a final answer. Thanks!
