 * After creating a copy of the site and loading a backup that has an earlier version
   of WP it seems that WP 6.7 is causing the problem. It was fine to use the latest
   version of the Event Calendar with an earlier version of WP, but as soon as I
   updated to 6.7, the calendar returned to being displayed in English instead of
   Swedish.

 * Thank you for your suggestions. Unfortunately it is not an option for us to switch
   to Loco Translate as we have already used WPML to translate a large amount of
   text. Do anyone have experience of using both plugins at the same time?
 * Could there be a problem with the .po and .mo-files, as they do not seem to be
   found by WordPress?
