 * Hi again Tom,
 * Thats weird, we are using this plugin on 10+ WordPress 4.1.1 sites at the moment
   and we’d never seen this error.
 * However, until we find a way to replicate it and push a new fixed version, you
   can disable the plugin by following these steps:
    1. Open the wp-content/plugins
   directory via FTP/cPanel 2. Manually remove the folder “wpsecureops-easy-firewall”
   3. Go to wp-admin/ 4. Force your FTP viewer/cPanel file browser to show hidden
   files 5. Remove .htaccess and .htpasswd files (this will remove the additional
   user/password protection for the /wp-admin/ directory, which you had mentioned
   that is not being working”
 * Also, can you email us a list of your plugins that you are using to: [support@wpsecureops.com](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wpsecureops/replies/support@wpsecureops.com?output_format=md).
 * Thanks!

 * You are welcome 🙂 Knowing what our users need and how they use our products
   is the only way for us to make them better, so thank you!
 * We will test our plugins with Sucuri (again) to be 100% sure that they work together
   and if needed we will release an update.
 * Thanks,

 * Btw, can you name (or email us the name of the plugin at [support@wpsecureops.com](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wpsecureops/replies/support@wpsecureops.com?output_format=md))
   so that we can try to make it work.
 * We are not happy to hear that our plugins is having conflicts, so if we can resolve
   those from our plugin, then we will definitely do it asap 🙂

 * Hi Chris,
    I see how this can be pretty annoying and we’ve done plenty of tests
   to replicate this, but with no success. Can you contact us via email and provide
   URL of the site so that we can check which hosting and what hosting environment
   they had configured for their sites. We suspect that maybe the site is running
   behind a proxy, which is causing ALL requests to the WordPress installation to
   be coming via the same IP address, which can easily cause the login protection
   to block all login attempts, specially if you have a ongoing attack to the backend.
 * Also, you can remove the “ban” by going into your MySQL database and then to
   the “options” table and deleting the row which contains your IP address, with
   the following name:
    _transient_wpso_bfp_IPADDRESSHERE and _transient_timeout_wpso_bfp_IPADDRESSHERE
 * If you don’t find your IP address there, then most likely the problem is because
   of a proxy running on your hosting environment, so you would always see the same
   ip address in there, which causes ALL requests to the admin to be blocked.

 * Hi ramonjosegn,
 * It looks like its compatible 🙂
 * However, have in mind that BBQ does NOT uses htaccess rules, so it will be executed
   only IF your site’s htaccess rules are allowing the user to pass them.
 * For example, any attack to your xmlrpc (for example) will be first blocked by
   the Easy Firewall and the BBQ will not need to do anything. At the same time,
   any attacks which are not tracked by the Easy Firewall will be caught up by BBQ
   🙂
 * So apparently, that plugin is a great combination with Easy Firewall 🙂
 * Cheers,
    WPSecureOps

 * I’ve heard some really great stuff for ASO, but never knew they were using nginx
   for their shared hosting, mainly because that sounds like an insane thing to
   do (it will totally overload their support teams… ) will require manual adding
   of rewrites for users….
 * So its interesting, maybe they have a way to include your own rewrites? Did some
   googling in their forums, but no success to find any information on this topic.
 * I’ll be closing this issue, but in case you decide to go and ask them for adding
   your rewrite rules in their nginx’s config file, don’t hesitate to reopen and
   share some insights 😉
 * Cheers,

 * Hello there,
 * 1. Changing the login url. Thats doable, but really hacky and most likely will
   break a lot of plugins and functionality in WordPress. This is why we don’t have
   that functionality in our plugin.
 * 2. We are not fans of having additional steps (captcha, checkboxes, etc) in the
   WordPress login screen, simply because its pretty annoying 🙂
    However, we have
   a separate (again free, small and very simple) plugin to solve any brute force
   attacks, login hack attemts to your blog: [https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpsecureops-bruteforce-protect/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpsecureops-bruteforce-protect/)
 * Thanks for your time spent on checking out our plugins 🙂
