Thank you — the host double checked the .htaccess redirects and our http to https was not setup correctly.

Yes — I didn’t really want to specify the protocol for www (in the topic post here) but this forum forced it once I submitted the ticket. But, even with that said, you are correct. The http in firefox or safari throws the /404 in https if you have WPS Hide Login active (without any redirects in the .htaccess file). But, in troubleshooting this issue, we couldn’t figure out why when you deactivated WPS Hide Login, you are then directed to the https://broekhuiswell.com/wp-admin login screen. We weren’t expecting this at all. The only way we could fix this was to create .htaccess redirects and then the www loaded the page as expected.

But here’s the weird part, and I’m going to retest this part with the hosting firm right now to confirm. If we left the .htaccess redirects in place and then reactivated WPS Hide Login, the www went back to throwing a 404 (because we think it was still looking for the normal login page which isn’t being used). It’s as if there is a conflict with another plugin or something and the www version is being sent to the login screen vs just loading the site. We could not find any reason for www to be redirecting this way.

Sorry — hoping this makes sense & maybe you have another idea.
