In reply to: [Compliance by Hu-manity.co] Remove Corona bar now, please.I made the mistake of clicking “Yes” (Just to see what the Covid banner did) and now I cannot remove the Covid footer. It appears every time teh site is first displayed.
This should be a simple, switch it off again. I have even uninstalled Cookie Notice and reinstalled it, but it still returned!
I am not happy editing database tables to fix this: that is not how wordpress is supposed to work.
This is very frustrating. My client does not want this on his site.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Provide a way to remove teh covid banner once it has been activated.

ok I understand the point about custom code Costa, – but am I the only person who has this problem with the perma-link helper?
I thought I was only trying to use your permalink-helper in the way it was intended. I followed the instructions and it did break my site, creating ‘500’ errors. It was then I realised the .html problem and removed the code that the permalink-helper produced from my .htaccess.
The problem, seems to be that either
1) the permalink-helper does not do quite what is expected of it.
or
2) you are saying that if you are using %%postname%% it normally appends .html (and is my site in some way an exception in losing it).I don’t want custom help, but knowing whether I have messed up in some unique way would be useful.
Thanks
great thanks again.
Great, thanks
Genius, that worked – Thank you fonglh.

In reply to: help me get my comments working…I have had the same problem and tracked it down to a line in the comments.php of the version of elements of seo I was using, which was version 1.2
I looked thro stauffer’s sites and found a reference to elements of seo v1.4. I downloaded this and it appears not to have teh same code in teh comments.php site.
Here is the version http://www.alibiproductions.com/articles/elements-of-seo/
I hope this fixes the problem. (Even though it was 8 months ago)

In reply to: Pages not editable when changing themesThanks esmi but I discovered it is not a plugin problem.
It requires a change to the .htaccess file to add the line
“AddType x-mapp-php5 .php” (no quotes
which fixes this problem
