@devnihil thank you. I tried replacing the plugin folder manually, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling. That didn’t fix it, so I just clicked the Re-install version 5.8.1 button on the WordPress updates page on a whim before responding here, and that fixed it! Was a weird issue, but it appears to be fixed with re-installing the latest version of WordPress. Thanks for your help!

I should have clarified in my initial post that I’ve already tested that – I switched to Twenty Twenty on my local development site that has WordPress 5.8.1, deactivated all plugins except for Yoast SEO, and confirmed that those errors are occurring when just Yoast SEO is activated. I also downgraded back to WordPress 5.7.1, and the errors weren’t happening and Yoast was fine.
