That together with my testing it just now with no problems says to me that the warning messages are being caused somewhere else in your set up and you should resolve these before continuing. I can not diagnose what is wrong with your install.

Anyway, I have not been able to duplicate the behavior you are seeing. It seems that what you are seeing is bug – definitely not intended behavior. Category and archive pages should always display the menu that you have designated as the default menu for the menu location. If you could reply back with your exact sequence of things you do to get this to happen I will investigate further. Also, what theme are you using and what version of WP do you use?

Sorry about answering so late. I was not notified that you have posted a question. Anyway, the answer to your question does not fall within the logic of the plugin. To do what you want to do, you will have to figure out some way to change the code in the page that calls the WP menu system or not.
Dan – Most likely you have not met the requirements for it to work. The description says “This plugin only works under the following conditions: 1. the theme has registered at least one menu location 2. user has created at least one custom menu with one or more menu items.
If those 2 conditions are met, then the edit page for every page and post and custom post type will contain a meta box listing the custom menus with radio buttons. All you need do is select which custom menu should display when that page is called.”

@agelonwl – when I wrote that I’ve tried several things in css to force a smaller width, “use firebug to inspect the element and override its css” is exactly what I’ve been doing already.

In reply to: Update Notifier plugin still sending email notices…Thanks Jon. – After my post, I discovered that that email arrives when I clicked on the ‘Send Test Email’. I have a call into my client to ask him if he clicked on the button. I suspect he did. Will let you know.
