    Hi Matt,

Thanks much for replying so quickly.

I am indeed a current GiveWP customer, and have been for a number of years. I’ve used your Priority Support very happily in the past. My intention today was to reach out to your Priority Support team. But that page requires that I must select one of the list of options for support, and none of those fit what I’m requesting here. There appears to be no way of bypassing that requirement, unless I select an option that doesn’t really apply, just to get plugged in. Is that what I should do? Which one would you suggest?

And yes, you are correct, I’m not looking for help with importing data just yet. I’m simply trying to understand whether GiveWP’s capabilities can come close to matching what eTapestry can do.

    Thanks again, S.

    Thanks for the prompt reply!

    Mark,

That would be fabulous! If you want to check out the amazing page I created using your plugin, it’s here (the sticky element of course is in the left-most column). That took me a few days of work too 🙂 I’d love to be able to duplicate that type of thing throughout this new medical site – it would make it really awesome. I’d be happy to beta test it for you.

    Cheers,
    Steve

Mark, could you venture a guess about when that next release date might be? I’m amongst the many here who love your plugin, but would really, really, love to be able to use it with multiple elements on the same site. I’d hate to switch to a different plugin to be able to do that. As I mentioned in my own comment thread last week, I’d be willing to pay for a premium version that included that capability – in case that’s an additional incentive to your creating multi-element functionality 🙂

(Sorry for my butting in on Tom’s thread, but it’s a question I suspect many of us have.)

    Thanks,
    Steve

My own follow-up, and this is now a problem with “If Menu”:

I abandoned the idea about using “Post Tags and Categories for Pages”. That plugin is old and doesn’t work. And I came up with what I thought was a much simpler and more elegant solution:

I added another entry to the $conditions[] arrays in the plugin a simple condition to check if a page id matches any id in an array of ids that I entered manually. I’d have one array for English pages and another for Spanish pages. That didn’t work. But the reason it doesn’t work is because the basic “is_page” (without an array) that’s already built into the plugin doesn’t work either. The menu item where I’ve checked the box to see if the page is a “Page” simply makes the menu item vanish, no matter what Page (Pages, not Posts) I’m on. FWIW I’m using Beaver Builder, but I can’t see why this should be theme dependent. The other If functions work fine, e.g. If logged in, etc. I’m confident that if the “is_page” function worked, then checking for a specific page in an array would work too (and my problem would be solved! 🙂

Can you please see why this isn’t working? Thanks!

Hi, @girlieworks. Thanks for the reply!

I’m talking about private posts that have been assigned to a particular category. I’m not using a plugin to create a private category.

So, you’re right – my description was confusing because I was confusing my terminology. (I’m new to WP programming — only on my second site. Still learning! 😀)

So, to try to be more clear: When I have a private post assigned to a particular category, say “Events”, and a user is logged in and therefore able to read the private post, why shouldn’t “Events” appear in the Categories widget? (Obviously, this only applies if there hasn’t been another recent post that’s assigned to the “Events” category that’s isn’t “Private”, because in that case “Events” would appear in the Categories widget.)

    Thanks again.
