Hi There — I had been using “MailChimp for WordPress”, but then found a much simpler tutorial for the “MailChimp List Subscribe Form” plug-in. When I disconnected the former and created a form with the latter, email sign-ups were finally accepted! My only issue is that forms from “MailChimp List Subscribe” plug-in look pretty simple and it doesn’t offer a sign-up confirmation on the site. Once you hit “submit” it takes you right back to the page with the sign-up form, so you don’t know whether your sign-up was successful until you see the confirmation in your email. I’d also like to add some more required fields, but I’m not sure if the plug-in allows it.
