    Thanks Catalin but I’ve since gone in a different direction with that project. Appreciate the thought though!

    Hello Daniel,

    Thanks for the response, unfortunately I tried doing that but to no effect. Would you have any other thoughts?

    I’m working with a site with this exact issue. Although I would also add that by now when I try to just move two categories that are already in the menu I’m getting (just swapping positions) I get the below error. This is WP version 3.5.

    I get the below errors from hitting save on the menu editor. Consecutive errors are from me hitting the refresh button.

    Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/content/05/6576905/html/wp-includes/cache.php on line 289

    Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/content/05/6576905/html/wp-includes/cache.php on line 404

    Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/content/05/6576905/html/wp-includes/link-template.php on line 276

    Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/content/05/6576905/html/wp-includes/link-template.php on line 0

    After an hour or so I come back to try the above again and got the below error.

    “Internal Server Error

    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

    More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    Apache Server at example.com Port 80″

    Hitting refresh on that error screen brings up the below error.

    Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/content/05/6576905/html/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 167

    There isn’t much reported on this issue that I could find out there. Have you been able to get past your reported problem?
