Where are recordings and attachments stored?

Everything is stored in your WordPress hosting environment – your database and your wp-content/uploads/ directory. Nothing is sent to external servers unless you connect a cloud storage integration like Google Drive or Bunny CDN.

Can visitors submit without registering?

Yes. Guest submissions are supported by default. Visitors do not need a WordPress account or a HelpGent account to submit a message or complete a funnel.

How do returning visitors continue a conversation?

HelpGent uses an email-based access link. When a returning visitor wants to check replies or continue a thread, they request a login link by email. No password required.

Can I embed a funnel on any page?

Yes. You can embed any HelpGent funnel using a shortcode, display it as a floating chat bubble, or share it via a public URL.

Does it work with WooCommerce?

Yes. You can place a funnel or conversation widget on product pages so customers can ask questions before purchasing.

Does it work with Directorist?

Yes. HelpGent has a dedicated Directorist integration, allowing directory visitors to message listing owners directly through a HelpGent conversation.

Is HelpGent compatible with my theme?

HelpGent works with any standard WordPress theme. The conversation interface and form bubble are self-contained and do not depend on theme styles.

Is conversation data encrypted?

Conversations are stored in your WordPress database. Security is managed at your hosting level. We recommend using a reputable host with SSL, database encryption, and regular backups.

I have been using it for a while and must say it is the easiest conversational form/multi step form plugin. You wont get lost looking for essential features. It lacks some important features but the roadmap looks promising and the most stand out feature for me is the “user portal” area which is available for even the guest users!! Overall definitely a 5/5 and a superb typeform alternative. Looking forward to the project.

Seems like a great tool for asynchronous video messaging and screen recording. One of the features that stood out to me was the ability to create interactive forms, which could be really helpful for collecting feedback or providing support.

I’ve picked the plugin lately and I must say I’m thoroughly impressed with its features and capabilities. The ability to communicate via video, voice, and text messaging, along with the added functionality of screen recording, is a game-changer for customer support and online communication. One of the standout features of HelpGent is the ability to record and share screen recordings with clients or team members, which has been incredibly helpful for demonstrating complex issues or providing visual aids for training purposes.
