ImgDexter

Description

ImgDexter helps WordPress sites optimize new image uploads automatically. It converts supported uploads to WebP, applies practical dimension limits, controls output quality, and records clear diagnostics so site owners can see what happened.

The free Lite edition focuses on everyday new-upload optimization:

  • Automatically process new supported image uploads.
  • Convert eligible JPG, PNG, GIF, and WebP images to optimized WebP output.
  • Limit maximum image width and height.
  • Control WebP quality.
  • Optionally crop portrait images to a practical ratio.
  • Skip very small images when needed.
  • Keep a simple diagnostics log for recent processing results.

ImgDexter Pro is available separately for existing-library processing, controlled batch workflows, professional media review, cleanup guidance, deeper diagnostics, commercial updates, and support.

FAQ

Does Lite process existing images already in the Media Library?

No. Lite focuses on new uploads. Existing-library processing is part of ImgDexter Pro.

Does Lite require a license key?

No. Lite works without a license key.

Which image types can Lite process?

Lite checks common WordPress image uploads including JPG, PNG, GIF, and WebP. Animated GIFs are skipped to preserve animation.

Does Lite delete my original media library?

Lite processes eligible new uploads and updates WordPress attachment metadata for the optimized result. It does not include Pro cleanup tools or media review deletion actions.

Why do I see Pro previews in the admin screen?

The Lite interface shows locked previews of Pro workflows so site owners can understand what is available in the paid edition. Those Pro workflows are not active in Lite.

Does ImgDexter Lite send my media or site data to an external service?

No. Lite processes eligible new uploads on your WordPress site and stores its settings, simple statistics, and diagnostic records locally in your WordPress database. Upgrade buttons may open the ImgDexter product page, but Lite does not send your media library or diagnostics to an external service.

What is removed when I uninstall Lite?

Uninstalling Lite removes its saved settings, Lite statistics, recent diagnostic records, temporary processing locks, and Lite-specific metadata. It does not delete your media library files.
